Dialog helps eliminate the problem of ignorance.  The media seems to focus on the negative and spread the word about the Westboro Baptist Church and other extremists.  This is a problem.  If people begin to only see the hate, they may never get a chance to see the positives of other individuals, or in their own lives.  There is the saying that “hurt people, hurt people.”  This seems to be extremely true.

The members of the LGBTQ community who resent Christians, have likely been hurt by Christians in some way.  In response, they will continue to hurt others and Christians will have no desire to try to understand the LGBTQ community.  This cycle of hate needs to be stopped, and I am calling on Christians and attempting to give them a better understanding of the necessary tool of grace, to stop or at least slow this too common cycle of hate.  The call to action for this project is the difficult task for individuals to start showing grace to people they do not understand and do not agree with.

I would love to hear your story of how you have shown or seen grace in your life.
