Here is a love letter from God...print it for your friends!

Every sane and decent person I know (I know I broke the rule about blanket statements) is not a fan of Fred Phelps.  In fact every Christian that I know thinks that he is a wack-job.  His theology doesn't match up with the Bible.  He is not following what Jesus did.  Yes, Jesus did confront people but only along with forgiving them.  The woman at the well and the woman caught in adultery* are two examples.  I have never read a passage where Jesus told someone that they were a "sinner and going to Hell."

We are not capable of the Grace that God is, nor are we capable of forgiving sins the way that Jesus was.

God loves gays and God loves Phelps even if I cant seem to wrap my head around it.  God doesn’t like many things that I may do, but he loves me.

**Both of these stories are examples of how Jesus changed the status quo for women.  In both of these situations Jesus was breaking social norms and held these women in extremely high esteem for the day.  It was a big deal!
